So neighbors steal your wi-fi net access, kill the connection or have fun
So you find out that everyone in on your block is using your network without your permission. Do you lock it down or…? Or maybe you want to have a little fun. A little creativity with squid and you could turn your everything they browse upside down (literally).
This is fun to tweak around, but maybe suitable only for the geeks. It involves writing the script, and understanding stuff like dhcp, ip network subnetting, and squid proxy services. And besides, it shows how to implement when you are running linux. Anyways, looks fun if you finally able to make it work.
Who knows, somebody is actually trying to piggyback on your internet wi-fi connection, though nowadays, it’s cheap for your neighbor hacker to just steal your internet connection. Most high-tech hackers will likely use it to spoof your connection like an “evil-twin” and snoop your passwords. So it is important to have anti-spyware or anti-phishing installed on your computer too.
