CIA Says Hackers Have Cut Power Grid
Criminals have been able to hack into computer systems via the Internet and cut power to several cities, a U.S. Central Intelligence Agency analyst said this week.
It is very disturbing that hackers are able to do this kind of cyber crime, and the authorities like the CIA was not able to trace the culprits? Security experts and the authorities should join hands and action quickly to avert such cyber attacks. The U.S., being the primary supplier of these computer controlled power generators, should be able to help countries who bought them. At least, they would be able to “fix” the holes and vulnerabilities on the computer controlling the power generators.
